Vacation Overview

Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers in Tel Aviv. Via the ancient ports of Jaffa, and Caesarea, dating back to the 1st century; the archaeological site of Megiddo, and Muhraqa on Mount Carmel, travel to Haifa for your overnight stay. The following day stop to visit the Mount of Beatitudes, and to attend Mass. Next is Capernaum, home to a number of apostles. See the ancient synagogue and the House of St. Peter, before heading for Tabgha, where Jesus is said to have fed the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves. In Nazareth, visit the Church of the Annunciation. Continue to Cana, the reputed site of Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding feast, and to Bet She’an, one of the world’s best-preserved Roman cities. Via Jericho, continue to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus and King David, where you visit the Church of the Nativity and attend Mass. Arrive in Jerusalem for a three-night stay. Explore the Old City during a guided walking tour: visit the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before his arrest, the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock, and walk along the Via Dolorosa, following the Stations of the Cross. A full day at leisure allows time to join an optional excursion to Masada and the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem.
